THIS IS NOT A DRILL. I MADE SOMETHING THAT LOOKED NORMAL.
dad asked me to help make lemon cupcakes today and for the first time ever i didn't accidentally ruin the batter. they were actually… good?? like genuinely good?? dad tasted one and said,
"See? I told you practice works."
which made me weirdly happy.
i still messed up the icing a little bit because i got impatient. but the cupcakes themselves were fluffy!! FLUFFY!! this is character development.
i wrote down what i need to remember next time:
don't rush the mixing
measure properly
let the cupcakes cool before icing them
stop trying to "improve" recipes halfway through
especially the last one. (￣▽￣;)
